i used to be a teller. One story they told me in training was about a guy who went to a bank across the street and wrote a demand note on the bank of their deposit slip. He saw a cop and left for across the street to our bank and handed a teller the same note, she responded "I'm sorry sir, this isn't slip is from another bank you may want to take it to them," so he left and the teller called the cops. He went back to the first bank and the cops showed up as he was handing that teller the note.
