Default CraZY Flashing BAnnerS OpinIONS

Could this be site info - no, and it should not be !!

There has been enough concern on the flashing commercial banners .etc

I admit - I have one for the calendars, however it stops this month. this was a banner designed months ago, and was continued to use.

I don't have the pleasure of cable modem or dsl, so the dial-up slows down with the endless flashing banners.
I was asked to shrink my sig ad, and refer it to another site.

That is fine in my book, but if the people that continue to show these ads will not change - pull them

No disrespect to any sponsors. But remember, listen to your customers.

BTW - My Subject name is almost as annoying as the flashing banners.

I changed my sig because I was nicely asked to do so, however the others have not done so.

If the others will not change why should I

Remember this is a city, real or not, rules should still apply

Agreed!

I hate the flashing banners, especially when I use the dial up connection from home.....

Is there really any need for them? It's not as if there are hundreds of banners fighting for your attention and people need something to draw them to that banner.....

I think that most people know which sponsors provide what (and if they don't they usually ask!!) so come on sponsors...... help me speed things up on my dial up connection please....

To be honest I ignore just about all banners on a website. After a while it is easy to train your eyes not to recognize certain ads - this is of course why the banner add revenue stream is nil, and they have resorted to those damn pop-up ads. Funky avatars with stick figures waving to me all the time are just plain anoying though

But, the flashing banners on this site are calm and OK in my book compared to others I've seen. The ones I really hate are the ones that use every color in the rainbow and flash incredibly fast.

This is on the same topic. How can you stop the stupid pop-up ads. Is there any SAFE and effective program out there for this?

I was trying to go on a sheet music site last night and was just flooded with pop ups. 5 per page at least. Had to keep clearing them off until finnally I just gave up on using the site at all. Yahoo searches always give me a casino pop up.

There just HAS to be a way to stop it.
