Credit
Damn near anyone can get financed. The question is whether its really worth it or not. There are a buttload of businesses out there that specialize in extending credit to folks with bad credit. They charge seemingly exhorbidant interest rates because they expect to take losses. Lots of losses.
If you make good money and your credit sucks there are a few things you can do.
1) Make sure you've handled all of your prior dings appropriately. In other words, bring all your accounts current. Don't allow them to go to charge off status. Most lenders will work with you to establish a payment plan or re-address your terms because getting paid back (even after a longer time period) is almost always better than writing something off entirely.
2) Payoff and close all but one of your credit cars. Credit cars are evil boys and girls and you wouldn't believe how many people end up screwing themselves by running up huge balances.
3) Re-focus your budget. Sell the fancy sports car to pay off debt. Realize that getting by for a few years in an older less attractive Civic while paying off your credit card balances is a lot better medium to long-term financial play then making minium payments on credit cards while barely affording to drive your fancy car.

If I'm not mistaken, I *heard* that there are services that you can pay for that erase bad credit in a very very short timeframe. Like Da Hapa said, tie up all your loose ends (balances), and then hire someone to legally smooth over any other outstanding issues.
