Default Criss Angel

this guy is nuts! i read a bunch of magic books when i was a kid. eventhough i was never good at doing slight of hand and stuff myself i was still mystified and at least read about it and pretty much know how it's done....."somewhat"

then there's this guy.....seeing him levitate onto the top of a light pole in the middle of a parking lot in vegas is just nuts. or levitating a girl on top of two fountains in the luxor hotel lobby, just to say a few. hell even the tricks i know he's doing a slight of hand, i still don't know how the hell he does it.

i know a magician never tells his tricks but i mean there has to be some type of explanation to him walking on screw drivers over broken glass, or walking on water over the pool with people swimming underneath, as well as all this other madness he does. i give him props i'm just wondering how he can get away with some of this stuff.

what do you guys think? i'd like to hear magicians take on this

I use to watch his show until i found out alot of his stuff and crowd that surrounds his tricks are staged. Even the crowd, their either hired or asked if they want to be on tv which they obviously agree to. The swim trick he did was done w/a clear bridge that was set up under water that had portions cut out so the swimmers could swim through, my buddy worked @ that hotel and he saw them setting it up. As for himself levitating, he wears a special pants (dont ask me what its made out of or what it consists of) that allows him to levitate. How me levitates other people, that i don't know.

There is an explanation. I saw not too long ago an entire huge @$$ PDF file explaining a lot of his famous tricks. He does wear special pants and a clear wire thats the size of a thread but extremely strong. Its also perspective and what angle you see his tricks at. Still he's crazy and I give him mad props.

I've seen a few things that he's done, and they're pretty impressive.

The simple explanation for his biggest effects is that he has some pretty good engineers working for him. I don't find that sort of thing particularly interesting, by the way. The close-up magic is what I enjoy.

I had a friend ask me a couple of weeks ago whether Criss Angel can really float between buildings. Um . . . no.

clayz and currahee, thanks....you said what i was thinking about the tricks. either they were as dumb as a stupid plexiglass bridge and the people swimming knew what was going on, as well as something to help lift him up, i.e. some string that helps lift him. is it a helicopter overhead or something?

i also noticed watching one of the shows the other night, where he as on the parking garage for the luxor with 2 hummers doing figure 8's and then a chopper appeared when they crossed.....pretty cool nonetheless...don't know how he did that one either

yah, when he levitates in the street, the people always over-act.. and he's always turned at the exact same angle from the camera, so you can't see the inside of his outer leg (where something is likely coming down and lifting him off the ground while he balances on it). Fun to watch anyways, a few times

I saw a you tube video that showed him doing a couple of tricks and then in slow mo showed exactly how he did it. Pretty cool.

I like the one where he "cuts" the lady in half and the two parts run in separate directions.
