no one in here or in the similar thread in politics forum has ever claimed jon stewart is unbiased. He admits he's biased. His program is for entertainment only and not for real news. He doesn't, just as an example, call his program 'fair and balanced.'

I think we should use Glen Beck as a profiling tool. If you watch his show, you belong in an asylum.

And anyone who thinks any news outlet is unbiased clearly isn't paying attention.

Exactly, no one is claiming Jon Stewart is un-biased, or "fair and balanced." He's not claiming that; Fox is claiming that they are: thus the problem.

This is simple-

If you are liberal, John Stewart is great and calls out those morons on faux news.

If you are not a liberal, John Stewart may or may not be funny, you may or may not consider Fox news unbiased, but you sure as hell don't think his bias is any different than Fox's.

Suggesting JS is bias is like saying Jeremy Clarkson is entertaining.

Using the term "liberals" is such an easy scapegoat when you feel like you are always being attacked when in reality you aren't.

Jon Stewart has said in the past, particularly relating to the Bush Administration, that they simply made it too easy.

don't you know? if you think fox is biased and watch the daily show, it means you think the daily show is unbiased. if you thought the bush administration was the worst administration ever, it automatically means you think the current one is the greatest one ever. if you are not against abortion, it means you don't value life and would kill all babies if you had the chance. if you don't wear that pin, you hate america. if you think some things should be socialized (social security, healthcare, public transportation), it means you think the government should socialize everything possible.

it's that easy. damn librulls! heheh

Seriously? Fox News... Comedy Central? Way to go! Will you next be rationalizing the unbiasedness of Hannity with a compare and contrast to South Park?

Guys, comedy is ALWAYS biased against something. That's the point of JOKES. In FOX's case, they are not a comedy channel, and thus their projection of fair and balanced news falls to the wayside by the time the lights go up, and we can point that out and find contrast between what they mean and what they say.
