argh this is highly highly on topic!!!

All of those were race cars, and given the fact that a modified itr can outdo or come very closely on par with a spoon s2k means that honda needs to get its act together and give us an s2ktyper

No it doesn't. They are both modified cars.

The S2000 will be faster than the new Type R in stock form. The R will hae 220 HP and weigh about the same as the S. Plus the S has RWD wich is a major advantage.

I thought the new R will weigh ~2600lbs while the S weighs in closer to 2800lbs. Power to weight shoud be similar.

In Japan, they are still called Integra. And Type-R is not here in the US yet (hopefully by 2003), only the RSX Type-S with 200 Hp are here in the US market! Type-R Intergra in Japen produce about 215-220 Hp and lighter than RSX- Type-S, stiffer suspensions, I don't think it come with sunroof (to loose weight) or some other luxury items!
