Went in today for:

1. oil change
2. creaking noise on the rear
3. adjust idle


the dealer called up and said:

"we did the oil change, lubed the rear end, but we'll have to do a carbon clean and (whatever) to adjust your idle. your injectors are all fouled up and need to be cleaned. that'll be $250"

i said "holy $hit! can't you just adjust the idle WITHOUT doing all that?"

"NO." said the dealer.

and since the Maxima is the family work horse, i had to bend over and take it...

 

cleaning injectors? for that price, they better remove them instead of running injector cleaner through the gas tank.

 

Damn! that's a little much, isn't it?? i guess, i've never had to pay full price for an injector cleaning before. i don't remember ever paying that much....but, then again i was getting employee discount!
