i'll preface this by saying that i dont agree with lots of social stuff in our society.

what's the deal with women liking to dance? not even gonna talk about guys who like to dance. do women like it cuz it's fun in itself or cuz they are "parading" around, getting off on getting guys attention? then would women still have fun if they danced at an all girls place?

beyond that, why are bars/clubs considered fun to go to? noisy, crowded, smoke filled air, u go there and have to scream just to try and communicate with the person 2 feet from u. not to mention the cost, lines, parking. if the reason is to hook up with someone, does that mean it is only fun if that does happen? or is it just a place to get drunk so you can have an excuse for doing stupid things.

I agree with the OP, i hate clubbing, I hate it with a passion. The problem is all of my friends love it (no idea why) so I feel like I'm forced to go or have to spend my Saturday night alone. I think dancing is gay, unless it's swing or break dancing those are cool. I've never seen a guy look cool dancing, most just look like someone with down syndrom having a seizure. Plus the money aspect; $5 for a beer ...$10 for a mixed drink.... hell I'd rather go to a house party pay $5 and drink as much as I can. S**t if I see another either polo/button down shirt wearing guido I'm going to gouge my eyes out with a spoon. Sorry for the rant I just got back from a club and realised that I wasted another night of my life.


To answer the OP questions:
1. Why do women like to dance - Like anytime in life all women crave attention. It doesn't matter if it's positive or negative, they all crave some sort of attention. Shaking their ass on the dancefloor and knowing guys are oogling them makes them feel good about themselves.

2. Guys liking to dance - beats the hell out of me, I guess just to get in a chicks pants. The only "dancing" I do is hardcore (which is more like martial arts but in a real confined space, It's just a great stress reliever) and I attempt to break dance

3. would girls stil dance at a all girl place - probably, again women don't care where attention is coming from as long as they're getting it

4. why are bars/clubs fun to go to - bars: because it's a place to get drunk with friends and hang out. clubs: to get laid

5. is the reasonto go to a club to hook up - yes, and no guy can say differenly. Girls go to clubs for attention, they use booze to loosen themselves up. Guy see a drunk girl and know that her inhibitions are gone so they pounce and use that against the girl to get laid. end of story



rant over....I'm going to bed so I can est p and do something actually manly tomorrow.

 

It's just a different form of recreation. Why do people go to every single hit movie that's out every weekend? It's because those people love the art of it or just the escape. Why do people like extreme sports? One might say, it's a death wish, but others love the adrenaline. Why do people spend hours in front of the tv? Maybe they like watching sitcoms, but others will tell them to get off their lazy ass. It's their form of recreation, for whatever their reason. Some people see karting as a form of kiddy sport before you get a driver's license, but others agree it's one of the best ways to get the pure racing experience without any sort of large monetary commitment. I go clubbing for the girls. If I don't even meet some an interested girl, I do become disappointed, but whatever. It's a lot better than spending my money on drugs for recreation.

I went out to the clubs 2 times in the past 3 months...which was the first time I had gone out in 15+ years........ I agree with the OP... it was stupid. I don't dance (typical white guy), not big on getting completely drunk..... so for me there was no real value....i would have felt like a retard trying to scoop some hog on the dance floor....so I didn't even try.

I wouldn't mind watching C_Unit dance though.

 

I like to go to clubs, it's the best place to meet girls, but not the place to get a girl-friend. Watching drunk people is the best part of clubing (My friend told me I look stupid when I'm drunk too!) Relax, and don't just stand there like an idoit. After all, you PAID to get in, so enjoy it.

 

I think it comes down to these girls wanting to act like sluts (and get away with it) and to see how far guys are willing to go for their attention. Basically, it comes down to nothing more than a stupid game these girls play attempting to raise their self esteem. I was a very frequent clubber up until a few months ago when it finally hit me what a waste of time and money it was, and that I wasn't even having fun. I'd rather sit at a more casual place with a small group of friends and sip some beer all night instead. Clubs are the worst place to meet girls, every girl I met was either insecure, had serious father issues, or had very low self esteem. I don't miss that lifestyle one bit, and now I have a wonderful girlfriend too
