Ok time to give in my 2cents.
On dates, I would let my date make her move...BUT if she doesn't, well im goin for it. But it's rare when my date wouldn't make a move, so I don't worry. It also depends where your at. Let's say you're in a more "private" place, like a almost empty cinema. Then, I think the girl would be more comfortable to make her move, rather than beeing in a McD's restaurant filled with kids running around.
All in all, i'd say it depends on the environment. And it also depends on the girl, but I date girls that ain't "shy" to make her move.

 

I guess it depends on 'the move' is (Heh, I sound like Bill Clinton). Often for me the first physical contact (hand on my arm, holding hands etc) was initiaited by the woman, but the intimate acts like hugging & kissing are initiated by me - ocassionaly prompted by a not so subtle hint

Oh yeah, and #4.....

Usually it's me that makes the move...but it's always something special when the girl eyes you, smiles then comes up to you....that's bliss...then you start making out and then you take off.....ok...sorry
