A good friend of mine managed the first Wendy's in Columbus, OH. many years ago. He looked at Dave as almost a God. He treated his people very well, never forgot their names and remembered the little guy. He was a great man and will be missed.

If you look at the commercials over the past 3 years or so, you can tell he was getting thinner from the treatments.....it is really sad to see the old man go


Now, I want a shot at Wendy....I bet you she gives great

He died of liver problems...he was going through kidney dialysis.

Dave Thomas lived within a mile of Annette & I in the late 60s. He owned several Col. Saunders restaurants. His swimming pool was shaped like a chicken. John Brown(married to Liz Taylor) bought the Col. Saunders franchise and renamed it Ky Fried Chicken. He then proceeded to buy out the other franchise holders, including Dave Thomas. That money was the start of Wendys.
