Sorenson's history as a registered sex offender in Michigan and Illinois and the fact that he may have owed his attackers a small amount of money appear to have had nothing to do with his death, Worthy said.
Anyway, pretty horrible story. All together.

In what ways do two chief motives get completely discounted? I find it curious that they don't explain further...
Owing a small amount of money doesn't excuse or entitle the perps to commit such a crime.
They were just bored and soulless. Imagine if they'd gotten away with this, then they'd be addicted to killing like a drug.

The victim was a statutory rapist for having sex with a 14 y.o. when he was 17. Not that big of a deal when a guy is 16 or 17 and having sex with a slightly younger girl. Plenty of high school boys are having sex with same age or younger girls.
