Default Del Sol Vtec

I've been looking into used cars for a beater, and the Del Sol has caught my eye. I can't believe you can put the top in the trunk and still have all this useable trunk space. It's actually pretty big. Also, with the top off and all the windows down, it's just like a regular convertible with a great roll bar. So what's a good price for one, and where's a good site to look for one? I saw one for $6500. Is that alright?

Del Sol is a wonderful car... but I'd be really sad to see you use it as a beater car.... $6500 for a VTEC is a very good price... check out www.teamsolcal.com to find some very nice ones(you'll pay a bit more though)... this is a wonderful car, if you have any questions, let me know

I want to use it during my daily commute and save my S for the weekend. I'm going to keep it pretty stock. Maybe just slam it, slap some 15" te37s on it , get a short shift kit, and try to stop with the mods after that.

I would have to agree with you. I'm just kind of amazed at the ingenuity of this car.

I picked mine up for about $10,500. It was a 97 with only 33K miles on it.

Check your PM. I'm "selling my Sol" to buy an S2000. Sols are truly amazing cars. Quite entertaining with the 160 hp DOHC motor. Granted, it's no S, but you'd be surprised at how quick it is. And any way I slice it, it's vastly more roomy than the S2000 I am buying to replace it. It's a great choice. I wish I could afford to keep mine alongside the mighty S. Best of luck to you.
