i would want this logo redesigned too if I was on the BOD....

Nothing like using an "off the beaten path" font and then developing your iconography based of the same dissonant/confusing lead-off letter/shape....


Some advice instead of actual pro-bono work:
-- new color palette (color combo is very late 70's early 80's)
-- update the font (something that is from the past 2 decades)
-- design it in Illustrator so you have vector file formats that will translate into print ready art easier.
-- design logo icon and type together on the horizontal plane instead of one above the other...this will make branding easier for web and other media applications
