Default Depeche Mode Tour

Anybody seen Poe and DM this summer?
Saw them in Dallas last night. Still not crazy about the new DM material but the "old" stuff still plays well. I was not dissapointed.
Poe performed a good opening set. I was surprised how few knew about her previous work. Some folks were astonished when she did "Angry Johnny", then they remembered her.

John David, my friend Dave and I went Sunday night to the San Antonio show.

Kick ass... I could follow them like the Dead!

I saw them 6/27 at Madison Square Garden. I prefer the "old" stuff as well, and so did the rest of the crowd.

I like their new single. My favorite of all time would be "Strange Love".

I dont have tickets, but I do want to go. Ive seen them once before, in 1998 or so when they were doing the best-of tour. Ive also seen poe before, when her first album came out, I saw her open for Seven Mary Three, and she was much better than 7M3. Anyway, favorite Depeche Mode? Blasphemous Rumours maybe, and Somebody.

I'm still into the older albums like "Music for the Masses". Faves? Behind the Wheel, Never Let Me Down. I don't enjoy the new, slower tunes as much as the old down tempo like "Blue Dress". Although they have produced themselves to be somewhat edgier in past years the content got a little bland. I'm just happy to here them live once more. Good show.

I saw them in San Antonio Sunday night and it was incredible. When the lights went down, I managed to run up right to the stage and got to watch from the front row, right up against the guard rail. Depeche Mode is my all-time favorite band and I never dreamt that I would be 5 feet away from them. It was great watching them interact with the crowd and seeing details that you can't see when you're farther back. If you're a Depeche Mode fan and you haven't seen this concert, you should try. They put on a great concert and I thought it was a great mix of some old and new stuff. I just kind of wish they would have done Everything Counts, Just Can't Get Enough, and Somebody, but they have so many great songs they can't please everybody.

I enjoyed the concert so much that I decided to see them again!!! I'm going to see their second to last show in the US in Anaheim next month. It will be fun to hang out in LA all weekend and get to see DM again. I know my seats won't be nearly as good out there, but at least I'll get to see them. I just hope this isn't their last tour.

I saw dM about two weeks ago here in Atlanta - the show was great! I thought Poe did an excellent job too. The crowd really didn't know a lot of the new stuff, and not much at all from their latest album.

I was really glad they played several of the non-hits from Violator - Waiting for the Night (To Fall), Halo, and a personal fav, Clean. I'm really starting to like the more mellow stuff from Ultra and Exciter but the crowd definitely liked the older stuff. Hearing Black Celebration live was well worth the price of admission

I've seen them twice back in 93/94 on the Devotional Tour, and twice on the Singles Tour in '98. I'm heading out to California in two weeks to see two more shows out there so I'm still hyped!! Like they say, "I just can't get enough.... "

And of course, the first music I played in the S2K was dM
