Default Did some DUMB Stuff!

I feel so guillty... I was in walmart with some friends and this guy dared my friend to jack like a 2 dollar sponge.. My friend is 18 by the way.. and he was caught.. They took him to security office.. and he told them he was 17 so they treated him as a juvenile and they called his brother up and told him he was banned from walmart over a 2 dollar sponge!!and convicted of a 150 dollar fine when he recieves the letter in the mail and my friend gave them his school ID!!.. Wonder if he got in trouble and is there anyway i can help him?

He is young, he did something stupid. Life goes on. Live and learn. Look back and laugh.

dumbsh*t thief. if stealing *anything* is yours or your friends' ideas of fun, f*ck all you. it doesn't matter if it's a $2 sponge or whatever, or even a $.50 pack of gum, theft is theft.

for him and your friends to find amusement in any kind of theft really says something about what kind of quality members of society they are.

Good thing he got caught, I'm not saying just because he managed to steal a sponge he'll decide to go steal other stuff too in the future but I'm sure he would be taking theft lighter. He learnt a valuable lesson although it wasn't the best way.
Not sure if it will go on his record. I don't think there is any way you can help him other than helping him hire a lawyer, otherwise most likely you'll get yourself into trouble as well.

oh, i really feel for you :/

1) Walmart is bad, don't shop there.
2) if your friends are dumb enough to steal on a dare, get smarter friends.
3) dumbass, if your friends steal while you are with them, you can be charged as an accessory - don't be so stupid.
4) someone steals, then lies about their identity. What next - try to run from the cops to avoid a speeding ticket, then get taken to jail for felony evasion?

stupidity starts at home?

Yes there is...tell him he was stupid for even trying this stunt, and hope he learns his lesson...you could benefit from learning from this as well...
