Did well @ 100 yard shooting range with .308 700P LTR (pics).

Took some pics last night...and have been dying to post this on AR15.com and Glocktalk.com today, but they are still down. Oh well...I'll share the pics here, heh heh.

Went to the range over the weekend, and produced my best 3 - shot .308 win 100 yard grouping yet. They pretty much went though the same hole
There are some scattered .223's about...ignore those
Nice group! I've been looking at the Rem 700 LTR, it looks like it'll shoot pretty well (if you do your part). I looked at buying one of Jerry Rice's Nighthawk rifles, although they are pretty spendy & my wife tells me that I don't have that kind of gun budget right now. Have you had any work done to your rifle? Also, how long between shots in the photo (cold bore?). What kind of bench rest did you use (sandbags, or something fancy?).
I spend quite a bit of time at the range too, although it's all .45 ACP. The photo below shows how I felt after a couple of weeks with my (then) new Wilson Combat CQB.
I have to admit that the smiley face was the result of several attempts, in fact I tried it (unsuccessfully) on many previous visits to the range. The center mass shots were 8 rounds from holster to target as fast as you can from 15 yards. The head shots, well lets just say I took a little more time in the name of trying to be cool.
This photo has been lingering in my photo album for a year or so, but I always like to repost it! A friend of mine on a hunt in Western Alaska took this bear which turned out to be about a hundred pounds shy of a record. Funny thing was, two other hunters had passed him up thinking he was too small! He had been feeding on a whale carcass on the beach and of course looked small compared to the whale!
Anyway, another example of what can be done with a little practice at the range!
