Did you know the origin of the saying "the whole 9 yards" is from fighter pilots in the early 20th century requesting a full belt of ammunition for their planes when refueling? The belt just so happened to be 9 yards long. "Gimmie the whole 9 yards" would mean they wanted a full load of ammo.
