Default Digital Cameras - need some help

What cameras, or what does a camera have to have, to use and still be able to take the memory chip/files to a film development place and get the images put on photo paper like a normal roll of film? Or is that even an option?

Thanks.

Not quite but you can obtain a photo printer and print regular size photos from home.

Just burn the files onto a cd and take it in to Kinko's.

That's what I guess I need to know. You can pretty much use any camera and take a CD with jpg's on it to the film place. Then they can print you regular photos right? Does the resolution matter when you bring them to be printed?

Resolution matter? Oh yes. The higher the better. Ask them for photo printing options; size, paper type, res, color correction...

You don't even have to make a CD. Any camera with a SmartMedia card, a CompactFlash card, or a Memory Stick will work...simply take the card to your nearest photo place, and they can make prints straight from the memory card. Is that what you were originally asking?

I still like the Sony Mavicas. I have the FD72 I believe, it's really nice since you can get film (Floppy disks) about anywhere.

you should be able to use any of the popular ones like compact flash or smart media. I know costco prints from these memory cards.
