Do I wanna join what?
To the most resourceful people I know,
So I'm driving home from the bookstudy, (a weekly religious function) and decide to pick up a few brewskies at the convenient store down the street. As I'm walking in, I notice two rather promiscuously dressed young ladies leaning on a car on the parking lot. Almost immediately after getting out of the car, one of them yells out, "Hey, wanna join the Army?"
I replied, "Huh?", she repeats, "I said, do you want to join the Army?" Flattered by the remark which I somehow managed to turn into a flirt in my direction through any possible way I could. I say, "na, I'm good, thanks" They giggle, and walk away.
I wouldn't care otherwise, but she seemed so sincere.... Someone please explain to me what this means.
-and don't say she's recruiting.

I think this is then military's new wave of recruiting because signups are down.
This from news week says:
In a new ploy to get more recruits the Army has changed its tactics. Gone are the days of the hard line crew cut recruiter. The new recruiters are attractive women. They focus on the 'machismo' of men to get them to sign up. The practice called the pick-up sign-up uses attractive scantily clad recruiters. The design was originally field tested in San Diego California and had a 32% sign up rate as compared to a dismal 12% from the traditional recruiter.
