........and give your dog/cat (whatever pet it is that you own) a smooch. My parents are putting our dog to sleep this weekend and it's a sad, sad thing
I have two cats and a dog (sorry, can't post pics right now, I'm at work) so I can understand. I would be very sad to have to put one of my pets to sleep.
I'm with BBY2KS2K on this. I got my first Siamese when I was 4. He was my baby and slept in my bed every night as my guard kitty. He lived for 19 years and I still remember the day my mom called me in tears.
His health had been fading and he spent his last night in my mothers arms suffering from seizures. As soon as the vet was open the next morning, my mom had to have him euthanized to stop his suffering. We took him home and buried him next to my first dog. I bet they are fighting in their graves!!!
I'll see if I can post a pic, but he's a Seal Point Siamese.
Yeah he did, and it was almost cut short. In 1995, he went to the vet because he was dehyrdrated and not eating. The vet did an X-Ray and turns out he managed to swallow a fish hook and it got hooked in his intestine. My mom almost put him down because the vet gave him about a 20% chance of making it and it was going to cost around $800 to do the surgery regardless if he lived or not. But like VR WHAT said, he was like a member of the family, and went ahead and had the surgery. Well I would say it was a success, he lived 8 more years.
