do not buy a bmw . com
wow... that dude is pissed.
in a number of posts to this board i have stated how much i hate dealer gouging. i wish more auto companies would be proactive in stopping this practice, but the truth is that in a free market economy there isn't much that can be done. as long as people are willing to pay over list, the dealers will go there.
please don't misunderstand me, i am not casting stones at those that chose to buy their stooks at a dealer markup. i am sure that those that did made the right decision for them and i respect that. i, for one, really wanted an s3k when they first came out but was disgusted with the $10-$15K "market correction" that dealers were charging. i guess i am a little pig headed, but i waited it out and ended up forgoing the first year production and got my stook at a little under msrp.

This isn't a case of sour grapes, it's a case of a guy who expected more from BMW and basically got squat in return. He sounds like he's pe'od and rightfully so, but it would only be sour grapes if he couldn't afford the car and was finding things to complain about it because he couldn't have one. That isn't the case here...
It seems to me that what we have here is a guy who was doinked by BMW and he's using the power of the Internet to make his case. I say bravo!
It also seems like Sime might be able to come with a site that complains about how Chevrolet treated him....but, of course, that's just speculation.

And I have seen that Laguna Seca blue in person...it's, ummmm, it's just not a good looking blue. I think the previous blues are FAR AND AWAY better colors on Bimmers.
Anyway, interesting lesson in consumer affairs...it's a different ball game these days, gotta love the Internet!
