Awsome! I'm from FL but my whole family is from AL and are 'country' people. However being from the south and being a farmer and what not does not mean that you have to be dumb. My grandfather had 6 degrees and 2 minors, my dad is a PHD aerospace engineer my uncle is a nuclear engineer and so on.

My wife is from Cali (bay area) and didn't believe me when I told her about my family. She like most people thought that people from AL were all dumb rednecks. I guess my point is that even if you are a poor kid that grew up picking cotten on someone elses farm that doesn't mean you have to be closed minded and refuse to make things better.

I don't mean to be offensive to anyone but my blood runs in the south and I don't like it when people give it a bad name.

Ok, Ocala, some more idiot alert !

This guy, with a claimed 500whp (never been dynoed or tuned, and he said he did all the works by himself infront of his garage). Yelled across the parking lot at a local meet :" HOw are you gonna have a fast car and not want to race". From what i hear, earlier that night, he was trying to mess with another SRT4 on the street, but the other guy didn't bother want to race him, so he was pissed.
I let you guys be the judge on that.

Went to a restaurant with a buddy, he has a broken arm cast on, so the waitress asked if she can sign it. As she was signing/drawing on his cast, we were trying to figure out where she's getting at. I asked if thats a girl spreading her legs ? She replied:" Yea, thats your mama". And people surrounded us heard that and start "booing" me ! WOw, is this how a waitress answers to her customer ?! And the people are actually encouraging her for making impolite comment like that. No offense, but i have always been raised in big cities and never actually run into so many rude and uneducated people in such a short period of time before. I mean, this town is full of rednecks and country idiots. I do agreed with some of you guys that not all rednecks are like that, but so far they are giving the good ones out there a very very bad name right now. Its almost like, i don't even feel belong here anymore, people in this area is not worth for me to socialize with. But because of my job, i have no choice, SUCK !. And if i do get to meet some new people, they will probably ended up hating me because i WILL express my opinions, and if you are anything like these guys, i guarantee you will not going to like it. Sigh...

i don't understand how that was my fault !. First of all, it wasn't a joke , i was asking a question, i expect an answer, not a "your mama" answer. That just show how unprofessional she was. Second, I am not a highschooler who would still joke around in that manners. And just FYI, to some asian people, you can almost joke about anything and they wouldn't be offended but when it comes to their parents and their elderly they take it very seriously, and thats how i am, i was never into jokes that involve my parents.
