There are respectful smokers out there that is for sure. They are not all inconsiderate assholes.

I just dont understand the point of smoking... seems rather stupid to me.

Just my opinion, but if im going to spend my earned money, its damn well better be helping or improving something, myself, or some body in some way otherwise what a waste.

But your money is your money, not mine. Do what you want with it as long as your respectful about it.

They taste good, keep you skinny, and help stave off Parkinson and Alzheimers. Besides, there have been a number of studies done, mainly conducted outside of the US (important because not funded by groups seeking a certain result) that have found moderate consumption of cigarettes by active individuals is no worse than non-smokers that eat like shit (the majority of americans).

You take your poison, I will take mine....but only in the short term of course....because I am quitting....after this pack

lol i have no doubt in my mind that smoking is just as bad as the food normally consumed around here.

either way your filling your body with toxins, increasing your chases of disease, and IMO lowering your quality of life.

I wouldn't pay extra for more pesticides, preservatives, bad fats, etc. in my food, even if it tasted better.

Besides, what kind of diet plan centers smoking cigarettes?

edit: I dont know many "active" or "in shape" people that smoke, just like I dont know any of the same that eat like garbage.

Maybe its just me, but I feel if im smoking already, and know its bad for me and im hindering myself of benefits of exercising, then I simply wont exercise much--and since I am putting crap in my body...why not feed crap to my body?

Hey guys how is everyone? Well I am in Iraq right now (2ed tour), and well of course I smoke probably a pack and a half a day. I am in very good shape minus the smoking part! lol. I work out 5 days a week and run 3-4 miles every other day. I run a 5:32 minuet mile. Anywho I am trying to just kill time found this to be an interesting subject! I definatley going to quit when I get back to the states.

So my question if you do smoke...what kind do you smoke?

Me I like the Camel lights!

lol @ the smokers trying to convince us of the health benefits. too funny.

mikey, the reason your comparison isn't the same is because there really is no debate over whether someone's loud exhaust may or may not be harmful the the health of those nearby.

in any case...again, i don't necessarily blame smokers. they're only taking advantage of the rules (in most cases.) sure, there are inconsiderate smokers who will smoke anytime, anywhere, regardless of who is around or who it might bother, but i don't run into people like that very often.

i do have to laugh at the smokers who are so addicted to their habit that they will stand outside in the rain or snow and puff while they shiver.
