Default Does anybody watch Enterprise?

Even if it isn't the best series in the Star Trek saga, I still watch it because I'm a trekker and it's simply storytelling at its best. It's unfortunate (found out last week) that the only running Star Trek TV series is being cancelled (this is what happens when you move it to Friday nights and no one watches it lol). I wonder what's next for Star Trek. Guesses?

I watched the first 1 or 2 episodes of Enterprise. I didn't even know it was still on...

For me, the original Star Trek and TNG were about equal (both good!), and DS9 and Voyager were also about equal (decent but not excellent). Enterprise is the first Star Trek series that didn't really pique my interest, and I honestly can't say I'll miss it.

Personally, although I doubt it would ever happen, I'd love to see TNG return. It had by far the most interesting cast of characters IMO. I want to see Star Trek have more exploration of new worlds, meeting alien races, etc., rather than dealing with political and diplomatic issues (this was my main gripe about DS9).

Ain't gonna happen. I remember reading somewhere that Patrick Stewart, along with the rest of the TNG cast, were disappointed with the reception of the last movie, and decided that it would be their last outing. But hey, who knows....if you flash enough money in a person's face, they're bound to change their tune....

Star Trek has been really getting "weak" over the years, and the last series I was even remotely into was Voyager (Seven of Nine had a LOT to do with that!!). Enterprise didn't interest me at all, and I thought that it was a bad idea altogether to mess with the beginnings of the Star Trek mythos. Heck, a lot of the storylines they've been using were pretty crappy....I blame Rick Berman and Brannon Braga....

I was sad to learn this fact.
I'd just expected it to go on for 7 years like all the other (new) ones.

Enterprise was probably the weakest of the four (TNG Definitely the best) but I still found it enjoyable, especially as the time it's shown in the UK there's nothing on to compete with it.

In the UK, We had the first episode of the fourth (last ) series shown on TV last night, and if this story continues I can understand why it's getting cancelled.
Stuck in the second world war, continuing the story that took up the whole of the 3rd series.
Enterprise started off just like the other three really, the first couple seasons were a bit slow, but I expected it to pick up in the 3rd season like the others. But for some reason they decided to go with a linier story that took up the whole season. Turning it into just another soap opera.
One of the biggest appeals for me about TNG was the fact that each week was a new story. You could pick up and watch any episode and enjoy it as it is. They had a few reoccurring stories now and again but you didn't especially have to watch every episode in order to keep the plot running.
I just hope the fourth season of Enterprise doesn't go the same way.

Anyhow. I'm still hyped from the Star trek Experience at the Hilton in Vegas. Only got back last week. Thoroughly loved it.

They should of never cancelled "The Next Generation". Biggest mistake they ever made.

let it go. Then lobby for a new series. I try to watch Enterprise occasionally, but seriously, it is no better or worse than anything else on TV, and some of the story ideas get old and repetitive. Seriously, how many times is the crew going to mutiny, then convince the captain it was all good because the captain was under some alien control? How dumb and gullible are the captains of Star Fleet? I'd act all like nothing until we put in at a Star Fleet base, then have the whole crew shot, if it were me

I never watch those shows, because, they need to go away for a few years and come back with something fresh. I would watch a couple next generation episodes, but none of the spinoffs.

Gallactica is freaking Shakespeare next to Enterprise anywho.
