Does anyone know what this is?

One of those was crawling on my ceiling in my old apartment. I wanted to get it down so I could step on it or something. So I loaded up the super soaker and blasted it. Took me a while to find it on the floor, but when I found it, it was already crushed from the pressure of the super soaker (and it wasn't even one of the bigger models).

I've always been looking for those little buggers in my apartment since

Yes, I noticed that they crush rather easily. Evasive little buggers, but not much to them structurally. No pity here.

The last couple summers we had an infestation of earwhigs... now *those* are gross!

You may be right. It's been a while.
But have you ever dissected out a ganglia out of an aplesia? It is a sea slug with only one central ganglia.
