Just curious as to your thoughts on this. Because of 9-11 what does the future hold for us?

Yes, but with a twist - I think we're on the verge of a corporate police state. With issues like DMCA, USPTO incompentancy, ICANN, CBDTPA, CD-ROM copy protection, deep linking, MPAA/RIAA, etc, corporations are getting way too greedy.

What I find ironic is that, IMO, while Microsoft's actions seem to have been predetory against other corporations, they've mostly been a benefit to consumers. Yet the truly evil organizations that are concerned with lining their pockets at the expense of their customers, aren't getting nearly as much exposure.

I just found out... that if a cop doesn't say "police, stop" but only says "stop", you had better stop. Otherwise you can and will be charged with Obstruction of Police Business or something like that. My son just found that out the hard way. Sux big time!

All I can tell you is that if you survive in the underworld these days, be afraid, be very afraid. Please do not try to shoot the messenger in this case.

Well, the issue with my son was that it was late at night, dark out, not his neighborhood, and he didn't know it was the police. Cop had his car blacked out, never turned on his lights, never said Police....

Hell, I would have ran also! The theme from Deliverence keeps running thru my mind!

I thought that if a policeman says to jump, you ask them how high. I think that whatever the policeman says, you do. It has always been that way. There really is no technicality there.

Just so everyone knows, I'm not speaking specifically about the police , but just what direction our government is heading towards? What laws are going to be passed? What types of surveillance will we be under? What about chips in our bodies? That kind of stuff.

If they are, I'm sorry. I don't want to start a war or anything. I just would like peoples opinions and votes. I'm just getting a little concerned about what may be happening in our future due to the 9-11 tragedy. I hope you and others understand.
