dog legal issue question
I am by no means a legal expert, but assuming your dog isn't overly aggressive for no reason, I think that would fall under implied hazards of working. Like a cop possibly getting shot at, or a construction worker nailing his own hand to a wall.
I'm sure something like this has happened, but the onus would be on the groomer to prove a lot more than the owner.

If you take your child to the barbershop and they bite the Barber, can they sue you?.............yes...
so, does the dog have a history of violence? if so you may have a problemo.
assume the dog has bitten the gromer... somewhere along the way someone should have muzzled the dog. technology exists for the last 1000 years, works with children too.

Yes.... you can sue anyone for anything. Will they win? I doubt it but I'm not a lawyer.
If someone can sue for slipping on ice in a parkinglot (it's ice for god's sake, it's slippery) then anything can happen.
Without a history of agressive behavior for the dog, and if the dog has been to the groomer previously with no problems, I cant imagine there being much ground for them to stand on though.
