The S is only better if you're looking for a knife-edged, purposeful roadster with little-to-no creature comforts that is marginally quicker when driven at 9/10ths or more, but probably slower otherwise.
The S2000 is a great car. It's my dream car for right now. But it isn't "the best", period. It's just "the best" for a certain few (and there are only a few of us)...

what about the 2006 Z4s?
The "2.5" Z4, is going to be significantly faster than the old one. And the "3.0" model with 255HP is going to be faster than the 2006 S2000.
Are the new BMW engines rated at the new SAE standard or the old one?
