Don't believe everything you hear on the TV & radio about a movie. Looks like Sony Pictures has had a scam going for quite a while and might just pay the price.

Actually once you realize what is going on with these reviews those little quotes they put in the ads are very helpful.

If a movie is reviewd good the list of quotes will be from major reviewers such as "Whoever & Ebbert two thumbs up", the NY Times, La Times, etc....

When the movie is real bad they will list all of these quotes from places you never heard of. When you see those plastered all over the ad you should run, not walk away from that movie.

One of the SF chronicle reviewers had a funny example of how stuff gets taken out of context ( Ed Guthman):

If I should write, for example, that a movie suffers from an
"overwhelming lack of imagination," there's no stopping the studio
from running the word "OVERWHELMING!" in its ads with my
name underneath. That's an extreme case, but it's happened.
