Default Don't drive drowsy

Story HERE

What a jackass this guy was for 1.) driving drowsy and 2.) telling the news crew that he fell asleep at the wheel.

If he was smart he 1.) wouldn't drive when drowsy and 2.) keep his mouth shut when he didn't have a lawyer present.

I enjoy my cars too much to drive drowsy. I can be 80% asleep, stumble to my car...but when I jump on instant adrenaline!

For that reason, I dont do drugs, and dont drink and drive...cuz alcohol DOES make me drowsy.

Good to know.I got a 23 hour drive planned in a couple of weeks. I will be on the lookout for the sandman when I am driving.

Coming back from hols this year, drove off the ferry at about 5am, driving the long route back to Athens, we were just going along, and this car in the right hand lane, going fairly slowly, just suddenly went matrix on us. Swerved off the road, hit a rock, launched the car up into the air flipping over as it went, then disappeared down the cliffside. My GF was pretty shook up, she saw it better than me and swears the guy must be dead. I was driving and it happened right as we passed so I didn't have the best view to make an assertion about the condition of the car. I was just slowing down when I saw a police car ahead, so we notified him and he told us to take off and he would take care of it.

Wake up call, no pun intended.

I fell asleep drowsy driving last year. Fortunately I was stopped behind an old pickup at an intersection. My foot came off the brake and i bumped the truck in front of me. The guy told me give him a 20 and we'd call it even.

A couple of years ago I'd drive home after hellacious call nights and in the ensuing traffic on the 110N I'd occationally dose off in the s2000. Fortunately though I never had an accident, just some horn honks from pissed off Angelinos.

i fell asleep once trying to drive from tallahassee to cinci on 3 hours of sleep... yeah... rumble strip on the side woke me up. i was wired on adrenaline for quite awhile after that, which got me safely to a gas station for much needed caffeine. still, scary as hell.

I've also fallen asleep after driving from Tucson to LAX and back.

lol what an idiot to tell the media that.

I was driving to Shreveport, Louisiana from Dallas, TX for a small part in a movie. It was crazy because I had a full day before with school, work and a concert after that. Then I had to pack and drive, so I was awake for about 18 hours by the time I was halfway there.

I remember at one point I was cruising at about 100, but I fell asleep for a second and was actually dreaming... It was crazy when I woke up to realize that I was still driving. I dont know how long I was out... prob just for a second.
