I think if it rained on a track day, I'd probably sit it out and watch anyone else crazy enough to go out.

Bah. A rainy track day is one of the best car control learning experiences you can have. If you ever have the opportunity to do one in the rain, do it! Rain lowers the ultimate limits of your car and makes it much easier to identify and correct your bad driving habits. And as an additional bonus, you will use up much less tire and brake compared to a dry track.

I've done a complete 360 (on-track!) during a rainy track day. It's more nerve-wracking tha fun, though.

I wouldn't mind racing on a rainy day, just as long as I didn't hit anything. I want to learn from my mistakes, but I don't want to total my car in the process! That sucks for that guy.

I had a rainy morning on my first track weekend. I had only had my S2000 for a few months so I took it REAL easy. After my session I went riding with my instructor in his supercharged NSX and we went offroading after he braked too late and decided that going off road was better than rear-ending the car in front of us. Just a little mud, but it did, just as the video did, show quickly you can lose control in the wet.

Our last track day for the atlanta club it rained in the morning. I'm pretty good on the dry, but the rain just gets to me. Slowed me down 20 seconds on a 1.5 mile track. thankfully it was a small track with lots of turns so I could practice a little drifting Opening it up in the straights was something I didn't care for though.

Rain can be dangerous....I remember my first time running at Road America it was the worst combo of rain, cold, and FOG!! So imagine going 140 mph in the rain and not being able to see where you are going. AAAAHHH!!!!

Dang, Road America is a rough course to be on for the first time in crappy weather. It's one of the Great American Roadcourses and I would love to drive it some day.
