I'm working with a police officer today. He's a solid 230 6'2". He was telling me he volunteered for a tazer demo in his department. He said it dropped him like a ton of bricks and afterwards he did what ever he was told afterwards. Makes me wonder about the idiots who need multiple tazings.
cheeseburgergt, another friend, and myself were getting drunk while playing darts last weekend. cheeseburger is a police officer, who just so happened to have his new taser gun with him.
We didn't do it. But we thought about it.

My dad used to train Police in self-defense techniques, as well as different holds and ways to restrain aggressive people. He put together a controlled study in which they actually used hand-held stun guns to shock people of different sizes and body types and documented the results.
I don't have the specifics as this was roughly 15-20 years ago, but they found that in average males at the time, almost half actually became energized and excited by the stun gun perhaps due to adrenaline.
Perhaps the technology has changed.

Stun guns have come along way. Taser products were shown on Future weapons last night (repeat?). I'd like to see someone overcome one of those. The more musclular you are, the more difficult it is to overcome.
