A friend of mine has a similar device, and it seems to work really well I'd recommend it. I have a basic friction/screw in type but its not as versatile as the one on tv.

I've seen the ad. I always wonder if it'll just rip right through the door. The door they have on the add looks to be some heavy duty steel reinforced door. I can just see this thing putting two giant holes in your sheetrock or something.

I was afraid of the same thing, but apparently it does work, and my friend is a pretty big guy, around 200 pounds?

My friend was 990lbs. He passed away yesterday and used this bar with great success.

i have a bar that is mounted in the door frame but drilled into the door frame studs...it works especially well for running/jumping karate kicks

My buddy has it. It's pretty sturdy when i was on it. 170lbs here.
