I don't get how it happened. Even if it is because it is a manual does the kid not know what a hand brake is for? Plus wouldn't he take his foot off the gas and it would stall in first?

The story was that the car was already in 1st gear w/o the handbrake set when the kid started the engine.

The of torque probably thrusted and the kid panicked and probably didn't know which pedal was the brake.

Would it been funnier if the classic Eleanor was parked in front, thus wrecking both cars?
