Default Dual NIC QUestion

Dual NIC QUestion
...I have 1 Gigabit 3COM NIC and onboard 10/100 regular on Board NIC. Recently, our server - dell - has being shipped with Dual Intel NIC...and they were able to use both of them together ofcourse different IP address...but the adavantage was...that it would more fail safe...if one goes bad...other one still t here.... (background NIC - Virtual NIC)...another advantage is that it speeds up the connections - file transfer/internet speed.

I am wondering if anyone of you have experiences this with 3com...dual nic? I am doing researh on 3com/dell..and other online search...but if you know...your help would be great.

thanks - have a nice weekend!

I don't really see a question here. If your asking can you have both NICs in your machine active at the same time the answer is sure.

Yeah....what are you asking? Are you trying to load balance NICs?

BTW - You can use the Intel cards as a load balance team using one IP address.

Does that even work?
Yes if done properly.
