DVD burners
I just bought a new NEC 8X Black Dual Layer DVD+/-RW Drive, Model ND-2510A And A buddy of mine has the same exact one, he has no prob burning and ripping movies onto his HDD "backing up" his movies onto other dvds. but I seriously have tried dvd shrink and dvd decrypter with no luck... dvd shrink it says i have a cyclic redundancy.. and dvd decrypter, i have no idea what that one says...
Do any of you guys use other programs... freeware or paid software and tips and tricks... you know stuff like that.

i use dvdshrink.
if dvdshrink and dvd decryptor both don't work, i think you have some other problem, and using another program won't help.
Be a little more specific with the error. what are your options when presented with the message?

haha^^^^^ I'm acutally surprised someone here found my post on the dvd shrink main forum....
well yea looks like i do... I really looked at the disk too and was like wtf.. it aint dirty.. clean it with a nice towel and goddamn i got my self a dvd

But instead of the sonic stuff i use dvd shrink and dvd decryptor. Hasn't failed yet. Had DMA problems at first when setting up, but after that was straightened out, perfect disks.
