I think this is a good idea but your survey automatically assumes that if you own a DVR you are watching a show that has been recorded. I think a more realistic question would be what percentage of shows do you watch as they are broadcast. I know for me I only watch about 5% of recorded programming. When it is recorded I NEVER watch the commercials but I still see plenty of commercials from watching "live" t.v.
(say House is on at 7, Ill watch something else recorded until House is over)
That or I will pause the broadcast, then eat or do something else until enough time has passed I can skip most commercials.
I never really watch TV anyway, maybe 2 hours a week.
