I have never done anything on Ebay besides look. Guess this is another reason not to buy anything there. How do you know who to trust?

I've done tons of business over ebay. You need to exersize some common sense. Beyond that, it's not terribly difficult.
With 100's of transactions, I've only had maybe 1 or 2 that were remotely problematic.
