For ease of use and a good break in car for getting into RC is the TC3. it is shaft driven 4wd, made well out of the box and it is easy to take apart and modify. I suggest buying one that is NOT put together already. You will want to take the time to put yours together so you will know what affects what and it will teach you the mechanics of the car.
Their are tons of spring upgrades and metal vs. Vinyl parts and reinforcements and motors etc etc so it is just like modding a real car to a certain degree......
the TC3 is a 190 mm chassis so be aware of that when choosing a body. there are 190 and 200 mm versions of the S2000 so make sure you get the right one when you buy one.
there are better cars out there, but, for the money, I feel the TC3 is the best bang for the buck
