Going to Mexico on m honeymoon. Just a quick Q, are there electronics shops in Cancun and are they as cheap as in the US? For example, if I wanted to buy a PS3, could I pick one up cheaply, along with other electronics??

maybe if you go into downtown cancun.. the tourist areas are not really any less expensive than the US.

Cancun really isn't a hotbed of electronics shopping.

 

Mexico is a NAFTA partner so electronics are going to be cheaper than other Latin American countries. Still no deals though. Even in "Free Trade" areas in Latin America you can still find electronics cheaper just about anywhere here in the states. I live near the border and no one is jumping to TJ trying to find cheap electronics, just cheap medical.

costco homepageThey have good deals on booze. I see that they have Costco in the UK, how are the prices there? They also have Costco in Cancun. That'd be one place to check out. You could buy a member ship in the UK or right in Cancun and then cancel it and get a full refund.

 

cancun doesnt sell cheap electronics but they do have "people" that can if you're into grey market

 

I'd love to buy a Plasma.....but I've just realised, all your stuff is 110v!!

That puts an end to that then!
