For Elise fans
As far as I know this car is NOT street-legal. I have a friend who has a real 190S and he says that this company has cars with street legal motors but that crash tests were never completed.
I also understand that their are many "issues" with this setup. The ITR motor is much heavier than the 190S Rover motor and weight issues are evident.

Some sad news from Lotus

According to the May 14th issue of Autoweek
"Lotus is canceling plans to build the 2002 M250 mid-engined sports car planned for production this year. Lotus dealers have been informed that potential buyers -- many in the States -- should be refunded their deposits on the $55,000 car.
The M250, which received rave reviews when it bowed at the Frankfurt motor show in 1999, featured aluminum composite construction, a 250-hp, Lotus-built 2.0-liter V6 engine and scissor doors."
