Get a lawyer. He or she can explain away the so called weapons in a simple letter. If what you said is true, you shouldn't have a problem as long as all of it makes sense. I'd stop hanging around in parks at midnight too. Please tell me you weren't maddogging the cops or posturing to others in the park. If you were and I was a cop, I'd take you down too.
Cops are just people. Where there's smoke there's fire. Walks like a duck?
I really don't undertand what some people don't get. If you don't like being profiled, don't act and look like a criminal. It's that simple.

i have one thing to say, that is this; from the story he told there was no foul play. All they were doing is talking on the phone by the side of the road which is the right thing to do. And you Jrfblueeyes, you kiester stabber, they were not doing anything wrong, so where there is smoke there is just smoke. Cops should have better things to do than illegally search a person's car like stop rapists, robbers, and murderers. I am fed up with cops and their stupid methods of profiling.

 

um I shouldn't reply to this one but I will to stick up for cops. sorry to hear you're fed up with cops. I can sympathize after hearing the story a couple of weeks ago how members of a local department where financing homes in LV and mexico with money from busts and then doing an illegal search and seizure at the home of a guy who had evidence of it and then accidentally destroying all the evidence, but well I have and do know some officers who are good people and good cops, cops are just people like the other 'eyes said. Sometimes the way rapists, robbers, and murderers are stopped are at traffic stops and by approaching a lone parked car at midnight in a park. I'm kinda sad that officers are no longer doing red light stops around parts of here ... because I think the chance to catch some bad people earlier on those opportunity stops might be lost
having said that I have no love for corrupt anybody that abuses power, whether ceo, officer, bishop, and I don't care for profiling and illegal searches, but I have to stick up for the good cops.

I have to agree. Didn't they catch that sniper that way?
Davis: You have a better idea? We have to get these monsters off the street. Innocent people don't have a problem with it. True. We all have rights but profiling is a reality until we come up with a better idea. I'm positive that those who whine about being profiled do some profiling themselves. This kind of profiling is the most insidious forms of profiling/racism etc. They aren't even aware of their own prejudices.

in any state i've been in, if your car is closed, then an officer opening the vehicle without permission is an illegal entry. if you are inside the car, they need to ask you to step out of the vehicle first. again, employ a local lawyer. we're all schmucks from different states here.

To be honest, I don't have the answer. What are cops supposed to do? Even thugs have rights. Rightfully so. We can't just give away our rights that were so hard earned. I know! The good guys wear white hats and the bad guys wear black hats. All I know is that cops are trying to do a job. Good cops anyways. There are bad cops. If I can help by not trying to look like a thug and walking the walk, that's what I'll do. Those who want to identify with the thug mentality and culture are taking a risk and making it hard for everyone else. If they want or need to do this, they need to quite whining about it. It isn't a preriquisite. It's a choice and we all are responsible for our choices. Good and bad.

Find a good one! Anytime they mention assault weapon or terrorist the judicial system tends towards the mob lynching mentality. Especially if some politician decides to make brownie points with your case.
