I'm excited to see what comes out of this. But it makes me sad the SSC here in Texas got cancelled. CERN is, what, 4 TeV? The LHC is 14 TeV. And the SSC was projected to hit 40 TeV. Wow.

Yes, it was fired up, and they shot two protons in a clockwise direction around the tunnel. Next, they will fire two in the counterclockwise direction. After that, they will fire in both directions so they will crash into each other (the whole point) which is what people have their panties in a bunch over.

And there is really no debate, because those fearful that it will end the world are complete ****ing morons.
