ok guys...thanks for all the responses...after hearing slave cylinder i got on the phone with a guy from a vw parts supplier...i asked about the slave cylinder because i didnt see one for my car on the sight...apparently mine does not have one. that 400-450 did not include parts...i ordered a replacement oem clutch from sachs (from a parts supplier, not the company) with the necessary crap to put it in...i thought about stage 2 and a lightened fly wheel and then came to the conclusion...i drive a 2.0l...no lightened fly no stage 2 clutch...parts were 200 shipped so im fine with that...i talked to the service writers at the dealership beore i filled them in on anythign else..they said 200 would be fair...i strted laughing...i know i woudl be paying 400-450 in a private shop but as the writer put it the point of techs doing work on the side is to help employees out and make a few bucks, not run a business. well see where it goes when i get the parts in...
