Everything you know about Star Wars is wrong

There is a scene when Yoda is trying to hold on to the big pole, from dropping on OBi-wan and Anakin.
Man, as a guy not as smart as Yoda myself, I would have just used the force and move them out of the way, instead of trying to move the 50 tons pole away...

But you gotta admit, Yoda kicks arse in that battle

In any case, all you end up with is the eternal struggle of good vs. evil and that can be applied to any situation, as that struggle is what separates humans from animals.

So good always wins in the end, it just takes a while for evryone to agree that the winners were good.
BTW, I realise that the two examples may not have been the best choice, but I sincerely mean no offence.
I've got to agree with The Unabageler. The American "revolutionaries" really had no unified concept of what the government should be. Most of the early American's, expected George Washington to become king. Fortunately, GW and the founders had a different idea. Forming the US constitution took a while and required much debate. The galactic Republic, the Empire and the British Empire, had the same problem, the worlds/lands they ruled were to far apart, physically and culturally.

Yes, but the application depends on your point of view. Remember, the Palestinians think they are the good guys too. So did the Nazi's and every other side of every other conflict. It's often a long time after the end of a conflict that a consensus of opinion is reached, and usually in favour of the victors.

So sometimes ideas of good vs. evil are warped by those who exert force on a person. That, however, does not change the character of the struggle.
I think we can all agree that Star Wars is not the end all be all for morality
and I think George Lucas is not the "genius" everyone proclaims he is, heck I think the Timothy Zahn novels are best Stars Wars, and I liked ESB and ROJ the two movies he did'nt direct.
