Some of the best songs from that movie didn't make the soundtrack, which really made me mad! Same goes for Driven; there was some cool stuff in there, but only country crap made the soundtrack...

 

Unfortunately, this thread brings me to one of my BIGGEST gripes about a lot of today's films. . .

A movie's "Score" and a movie's "Soundtrack" are seldom the same & are often completely different!!!

In this age of soundscan, the need for a successful soundtrack has lead to the "music inspired by the motion picture" movement and soundtracks that often don't reflect any of what was heard during the film. . .

My best example of this: "The Replacement Killers". . . I loved the film and was totally impressed with the techno soundtrack throughout the film. . . So, I bought the soundtrack when it hit the stores. Little did I know that all of the techno from the film (the "Score") had been replaced by mellow mood music (the "soundtrack"). . .

Bottomline: Make sure that what you're buying is actually what you think it should be. . .
