What part of "Enthusiast" don't you understand?

Lackluster netiquette (which I was pointing out to answer omgitsoop's question) on your part does not constitute dire affective attention on my part. So, to your point, I don't care, but the folks in Car Talk might. . .

Not really sure what where you're going, if you don't like the car then don't click the link or read this post, simple as that no?

I for one thought it was pretty cool a basically regular Civic with a crazy drivetrain could go so fast..

Bear with me, and please correct me if I'm wrong:

1. The link was in Off-Topic; a sub-forum of which I read about 4x a day.
2. I read the link, noting the preponderance of FAIL.
3. I read omgitsoop's post; and answer it accordingly.
4. You get your panties in a twist.
5. I point out that if you had posted it in Car Talk, your panties might have been less knotted.
6. You then inform me that it's my choice to give you a proverbial handy, or not read the thread.
7. I now make mention that one must read the thread, and click the link, which I did, in order to know what one is talking about, as well as to answer omgitsoop's question. I will also note that none of my posts have discussed the qualities of the Civic itself, good, bad, or otherwise.

I hope you now understand what I'm getting at.

hm....

Fastest Honda Civic In The World Hits 227.7 Mph, Looking For 240!
I have to give props to this Lucas Oil sponsored Civic.

Apparently this Civic hit 227.7 mph in the Bonneville salt flats on just 15.2 PSI. The turbo is good for 29 PSI, however, the CV Joint broke on the record run and they had to shut it down. The car was just recently sold online and only managed to fetch $22,777. The owner claims the car is good for 240+ mph, and that the next owner can fix it up, dial up the boost and make a new world land speed record (BCGG category). Pretty cheap project for a world record if you ask me!

I was truly impressed at how much power this thing makes, I think it states 728 whp and 503 ft. lbs. @ 29PSI, although the run was done around 500 whp I believe.

The list of modifications reads like a holy grail of automotive-goodness, check it out!

PS: thanks for all the great posts, I've been a long time reader, first time poster, I will contribute as much as you guys have given me!

just in case he wants to edit anything
