Fastlane on FOX
So I caught last night's show without seeing last week's. I didn't expect much after reading this thread. However, the show surprised me slightly.
The actual plot and story line of last night's show wasn't all that bad. The women were hot, the bikes were cool, and the action was better presented than some other "action" shows that are on other channels.
Acting wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be, with one exception....Bill Bellamy's acting is HRROBILE, like my spelling.
The show reminded me of Fox's old show I used to watch like religion....New York Undercover. It was edgy, had good use of minorities, put them in a good light (for the most part). That was until the Fox producers got hold of the show and cut it up to fit more of a mainstream to complete with the 'other' Thursday night lineup on NBC....what the hell were they thinking?! Hell, in fact, I used to watch Thursday night lineup on Fox over the NBC Thursday night "Must See TV" crap....the good ol' days: Livin' Single, Martin, New York Undercover, and then switch over to NBC for ER.

Yeah, I have to admit, yesterday's show was an improvement over last week. But all in all I would still classify it as "brain candy". NY Undercover was different, had more of a social/class component to it and its characters. So far, Fastlane is all fluff.
