A lot of times you might have a local fastener supply that has odd fasteners. Napa also (sometimes) has some weird stuff.

NAPA or a local lawnmower/small engine maintenance shop has odd motorcycle bolts.

So I'm in the process of rebuilding my bike for the upcoming Spring and Summer. I needed this ONE bolt, so of course I go online to order it, as ordering it at a local dealership would be suicide.

This ONE bolt came out to $4 with $9 shipping and some small tax. Came out to almost $14 for one stupid bolt. This is daylight raping.
depending on what kind of bolt it was < say it was a normal bolt i would have went to your local hardware store ,get them to match the bolt(or you go on bike bandit and get the size, thread pitch, and grade) and get it there, bam bolt changed for less than 5 bucks

I paid $8 for a bolt for my Audi.

The cost doesn't seem unjustified to me...

It was a special Honda bolt that I havn't seen on any other bike or car out there. It attaches the side fairing to the frame/bracket. Home depot would not have it.

Also, it's called the "Zeus Bolt Fastener". And the dealership would charge me twice that for the single bolt.

I think maybe you mean a DZUS fastener. Is it a 1/4 turn fastener or similar design? They're a bit unusual but probably not THAT hard to find but in a quantity of one -- what do you want?
