Default Feedback Please-ShopItOut.com-New Website that I'm affiliated with

Hi guys...I've always know S2ki'rs to be open and thoughtful. With that being the case, I really would like some feedback from you all on a new website that I'm affiliated with.

The site is www.shopitout.com and it's comparison shopping for the auto aftermarket.

ShopItOut has been around for about a year and a half, but the site just launched about 6 weeks ago. The ShopItOut team is looking for feedback and I thought you guys would be able to help.

Keep in mind that there are limited number of parts in the system right now, especially for the S2000. But as a whole, could you please comment on:

Do you like the concept?
Would you regularly use the website?
If not, what are the reasons why you wouldnt?
If you stated that there arent enough products for your car, how many parts is enough to make it useful to you?
What is your favorite element of the website?
What needs the most improvement?
Is this site something that you'd tell a friend about?

You dont need to answer all of those questions obviously, but thats a framework for what'd be really useful to me and ShopItOut.

We appreciate your help and feedback. It truly means a lot.

It's interesting Ben. Does it capture info using a spider? Or do affiliated companies need to pay to be part of it? I see some potential as it acts like the ZDNet's shopping service, but maybe you need more stores to join in?

hey Rich! Good to see you're still around s2ki!

It does not capture info using a spider. You may have noticed that it has complete catalogs entered into it, and that the product pages are complete with the picture and all of the info found in the manufacturer catalog. ShopItOut manually digitizes complete catalogs. It's pretty impressive stuff, actually.

Merchants (like Bulletproof) pay for "targeted sales leads". It's basically like a bizrate for auto parts, but of course with a few unique things for the industry.

Yeah, it could use some more stores...

Worked with Mozilla whereas my bank's site doesn't.

Liked the colors and thought the info under the Retailer Listings was presented in a helpful (and clever) way. You guys are off to a good start!

Good luck.

Thanks!

Negative feedback is more than welcomed as well...

I love hearing the good stuff, but oftentimes the negatives can be more helpful in improving the website.
